| Q. | Why do search engines like Kayak, Yahoo travel, orbitz etc. keep showing unavailable or sold flights? | Related Search: Air Travel | | | It's getting so frustrating because every time I click on a price it'll take me to the website and say that the flight is no longer available or due to the airline availability it is now available at an insanely higher price.
Is there a search engine that is more reliable in its listings?
| | A. | I have to correct the previous answer! Search engines a Kayak do not want to rush you to buy. They are NOT a travel agency, so they don't take commissions when you buy. They forward you to a travel agency or flight company.
Never the less - I would try the search engine Momondo.com. They have a button called "live search" when you make an ordinary search. In this way you can make sure, that it is the current price :)

| Q. | Can you travel with a 10-11 foot kayak on a plane? | Related Search: Air Travel | | | can you travel with a 10-11 foot kayak on a plane? Obviously not as a carryon :-) but checked--do you think it costs extra (under 50 lbs)---thanks :-)
Thanks Rambaldi---i was very curious!
| | A. | Call the airline and check first. You might have to have it sent as cargo due to the fact it will not go through the conveyor belts at the airports. | | | |
| Q. | how do I affix a KAYAK ON top of a HONDA for travel to and from water? | Related Search: Other - Outdoor Recreation | | | a 2 door civic, I would NOT like to spend all my remaining dollars on it...
| | A. | I had a similar problem in that I owned a Ford Escort...
There are rubber straps with hooks on either end that work really well, you just need some place on the car to attach them..The Escort had water run off rails on the roof, I drilled holes. Then used climbing rope to tie down the front and back of the Kayak to the bumpers.. Tie the Kayak to the corners of the bumper so it doesn't shift left and right...
If you have a white water Kayak it should be a piece of cake, mine is a 14"6" ocean Kayak...Have fun! | | | |
| Q. | Your wish list for the features of travel vertical search engine, e.g. kayak.com; sidesteps.com? | Related Search: Other - Destinations | | | When you are researching for which hotel to reserve on the internet, do you find the travel search engine like kayak.com or sidesteps.com helpful in obtaining information and save you money and time? Can the travel search engine eliminate the process of using Google to search and browse through a couple of websites in search of the best deal. Any features or improvement do you wish they will incorporate to make the travel search engine even better?
| | A. | I have a degree in Travel. No, I don't use those sites. I don't trust them. They overcharge a lot on a lot of things. Since I know the codes and what to book, I do it myself and save hundreds of dollars. Thanks, though. | | | |

| Q. | Looking for a lake in California with an island to kayak to.? | Related Search: Other - United States | | | For anyone who is familiar with the lakes in California, especially Southern California. I'm looking for a lake that has an island that people are allowed to boat or kayak to, take shore, and walk around and do whatever. I just like the idea of kayaking and landing at another location, then coming back. I also would like to see the scenery and possible serenity of such an island. Is there such a lake around here? I live in Orange County, CA and I'm willing to travel varying distances.
