Q.What international acts would Lebanon like to pass in a fictional international?Related Search:
Lebanon
I am representing Lebanon in a Model UN type thing. I am researching Lebanon's problems, but I am having trouble finding something to write a resolution on. It seems like Lebanon has a lot of problems of its own but not any that should receive international support. In the past (for other countries) the resolutions have dealt mostly with environmental issues and dealing with HIV orphans and refugees. Thank you so much.
A.My suggestion would be a resolution that the U N takes measures to resolve the outstanding issue of Palestinian refugees currently living in both Lebanon & Jordan...that they accept responsibility for the creation of the State of Israel & the fallout this caused neighbouring countries , particularly Lebanon...

Q.what is the difference between an international airport and a domestic one?Related Search:
Aircraft
I mean, let's imagine (maybe it is so) that i.e. Salt Lake City airport is an international airport, but they are actually no international flights, just domestic ones. Is he then still an international airport, even with just domestic flights? Or what does an airport needs to have to be classified "international" (besides customs...)?
A.Michael, the only thing that an airport needs to have an "International" label on it is U.S.Customs. Not necessarily for passengers, but for freight shipments. There are many airports that have only domestic flights, but have customs inspectors, so the airport gets the international label. Charleston, WV is one such airport. You can visit its website at the URL below. Regards, Dan

Q.What will happen to current Dubai International Airport when the new one starts operating?Related Search:
Other - Africa & Middle East
They have just opened a new terminal at Dubai International and at the same time they are building a huge thing only 35 km away in Jabel Ali called Al-Maktoum International Airport. Does anyone know what would happen to Dubai International when the new one starts working in a few years time? Please dont just say arabs are rich and they've got a lot of money bla de bla de bla. Serious answers only please!
A.It's common in many urban cities and countries to have more than one international airport like the case of Tokyo and London. The Al Maktoum International Airport will complement and expand the operations of the Dubai International. This means that both airports will have specific regional flights to serve. A high speed railway is also planned to connect the two airports. Oh, and note that the expected turnover of the new airport is in 2017, not really a "few year's time".

A.You don't have to be a citizen. It would just be like going to any other college. You enroll. It doesn't matter where you are home schooled, as long as you get good enough grades to get into the college you want to.

For other uses, see International (disambiguation).

International or internationally most often describes interaction between nations, or encompassing two or more nations, constituting a group or association having members in two or more nations, or generally reaching beyond national boundaries. In American English, "International" is also commonly used to signify "outside of the country".

  • In team sports, "international" commonly refers either to a match between two national teams, or to a player capped by his national team.
  • In linguistics, an "international language" is one spoken by the people of at least two nations, but preferably a large number of nations.
  • In interlinguistics, international often has to do with languages rather than nations themselves. An "international word" is one that occurs in at least two languages, but preferable many more, as with linguistics above. These words are collected from widely spoken source or control languages and often used to establish language systems that people can use to communicate internationally, and sometimes for other purposes such as to learn other languages more quickly. The vocabulary of Interlingua has a particularly wide range, because the control languages of Interlingua were selected to give its words and affixes their maximum geographic scope.[1] In part, the language Ido is also a product of interlinguistic research.
  • In North American unionised environments, the term "international" is a euphemism for the central union location, which is often in the Washington, D.C. area. An example is the IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers), whose international office is in Washington, DC, whereas its local offices are spread all over North America. A regional union office that serves as an umbrella organisation for more than one local office, may still be called "international" by its rank and file members.

Global is commonly used as a synonym for "international", however such usage is typically incorrect as "global" implies "one world" as a single unit, while "international" recognizes that different peoples, cultures, languages, nations, borders, economies, and ecosystems exist. The word nonetheless sees usage as in various media buzzwords, such as "the global economy".
