| Q. | What club in San Francisco is great to throw a birthday party in? | Related Search: Other - Food & Drink | | | Hey everyone! The club I had planned for my 30th bday (about 60 people) in a month just fell through. Does anyone have any recommendations in San Francisco? Good experiences? Bad?

| Q. | What places in San Francisco can I visit? | Related Search: San Francisco | | | We are planning to go San Francisco for 10 days. We don't have car with us. So where can we go and visit? Where is the best places and some good restaurants would you recommend?
| | A. | Must sees include (in no particular order):
1. Alcatraz.
2. Get on a cable car at Powell St.
3. The Ferry Building (Happy Hour oysters on Mondays, yeah!)
4. Coit Tower and North Beach
5. Union Square.
6. Golden Gate Park and the new Academy of Sciences
7. Walk/bike the Golden Gate Bridge
8. Take the ferry to Sausalito
9. Fisherman's Wharf (tacky but everyone does it) - best thing there is the sealions
10. Do "the hills" (Lombard St, etc.)
The best way without a car is to use the Muni or the Bus (Bart covers larger distances and isn't the best way to get around the city). For your first time, get on a red tourist bus with a 24-hour ticket where a guide will introduce the major sites and sounds. Biking is also a great way to get around - and a bikemap will show you how to avoid hills.
If you can get a car, venture out up to wine country (Napa/Sonoma, an hour away) since it's beautiful up there. If you need restaurant recommendations, I'd strongly suggest checking [Link] since it's based in SF and tracks restaurants aggressively. Needless to say, Asian food here is very good (but if you're a steak person, check out Houston's).
Have fun! | | | |
