Color codes are easy, the 1 thing to remember is the order. Each HEX code contains 6 characters (0 - 9 OR a - f). "0" is the lowest and darkest, while "f" is the highest. The first 2 characters are for the color red, the middle 2 are for green, and the last 2 are for blue. so if you used #0000ff, you would get a bright blue, #ff00ff would give you a light purple (mixing red and blue) and #006600 would give a dark green.
