| Q. | Where can I find a airport codes and cities database? | Related Search: Aircraft | | | Hi,
I'm developing a software to track tickets booking. I need a database containing the airport code (like MIA) and the airport name and its city. It should be in an easy readeable format, like cvs, xml or like so, because I intend to import it to an access database.
Thanks in advance!

| Q. | looking for a list of airport codes? | Related Search: Air Travel | | | i have recently started working in a travel agent as a foreign exchange advisor.
I am looking for a list of airport codes for different countries, mainly the main holiday destinations that travel agents use.
I need the list to be listed in the actual airport code not the country, so if i need to find airport code BHX, i just look under b, then bhx and find what it is.
Any help would be appreciated.
i need to beable to print it off, and the code needs to be in alphabetical order, not the airport.
| | A. | See the below link and just print it out - it makes a great reference copy for you. You'll soon remember them all . | | | |
| Q. | Question about airport codes? | Related Search: Aircraft | | | Why in front of the airport code is there a 'K' in front of the codes in the continental US. ex. KATL, KDEN, KLAX...
I saw this on flightaware.com and wondered if the 'K' stood for anything.
| | A. | There are IATA codes and ICAO codes....
IATA codes refer only to the airport and are three-letter (ie DEN, LAX, ATL)
ICAO are four-letter. the first letter refers to the region (ie KDEN - the K is America, EGLL (heathrow) - the E is for North Europe, LFPG (Paris) - the L is for Southern Europe).
In the case of America and Canada ICAO codes are basically IATA codes plus the regional letter..eg:
IATA ICAO
DEN denver KDEN
ATL atlanta KATL
JFK nyc KJFK
YYZ toronto CYYZ
it's not the case everywhere else...
LHR london EGLL
CDG paris LFPG
RTM rotterdam EHRD
America and Canada maintain the IATA codes within the ICAO coding, the rest of the world doesn't (I believe) - but there may be two or three regions which mirror America and Canada....
| Q. | Prepare an itinerary on any four tourist attraction from area 3 to area2 using revelant airport codes? | Related Search: Other - Destinations | | | i want to prepare an itinerary with a special package tour for a family Mr. Alex Fernandes, whose femily includes Mrs. Fernandes, 2 children aged 7yrs and 16 months. Mr. Fernandes's father, aged 69 years, with a walking disability and on a restricted diet will be accompanying them. the itinerary has to be for a minimum five day tour from area3 to area2 on any four tourist attractions.
| | A. | What's area 3 and area 2? No offense, but this sounds an awful lot like a homework question... and like "area3" and "area2" are places denoted on a worksheet that you are looking at. In reality, I don't think there is such a couple of places as "area3" and "area2."
You need to figure out what these "areas" represent before you can expect any help with this.
Then again, if you are seriously looking for travel help, then a conversation with a travel agent is in order... still, you're going to have to be more specific than "area3" and "area2".
