| Q. | What is the best video game console for kids and adults? | Related Search: Video & Online Games | | | We have never owned a video game console and are looking for one that would be best for young kids and adults. I am very interested in active games like Dance Dance Revolution so I am hoping someone will know the best system for all of us. We are definitely not interested in shoot-em-up games. I have been told to look at GameCube, PS 2, and Nintendo Wii. What do you think?
| | A. | The Wii hands down is the best system for kids. A lot of the games they make for that system are made for kids. The x-box 360 has many more games for the hard core fans. I got rid of my Wii because so many games were for kids, and not enough action or mature games. The 360 is all about the serious gamer, they feature many mature and action game for grown ups. So the Wii for the kids and the 360 for the adults. | | | |
| Q. | What video game console should i buy to play all Kingdom Hearts games? | Related Search: Video & Online Games | | | I've been looking for a new video game system and wanted to get one that would be able to play all of the Kingdom hearts games on it. I know that the new Kingdom Hearts is coming out for a different system then the others, so i was wondering if there is a console that allows you to play all of them.
| | A. | Sorry. There is not one system that can play all the Kingdom Hearts games.
Kingdom Hearts 1 is for PS2
Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories is for GBA
Kingdom Hearts 2 is for PS2
Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories is for PS2 (It's a 3D remake of the GBA version)
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days is for Nintendo DS
Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep is going to be for the PSP.
When a Kingdom Hearts 3 game is announced it will be for PS3. I would tell you to get a PS3 BUT there isn't god damn backwards compatibility on the new versions so you can't play PS2 games on it.
Your best bet for now is to buy a PS2 so you can play Kingdom Hearts 1, 2 and Re: CoM.
Then get a DS to play 358/2 Days. ^_^
Hope I was of some help. | | | |

I'm looking to purchase 10 of each console and I need them new and hopefully at a discounted price. Anybody know of a reputable website or a number to a distributor that I can call to see if we can set up a deal?
I also need controllers and video game titles as well. Thanks any valid help will be appreciated.

| Q. | How can play old school Nintendo games on a current video game console? | Related Search: Video & Online Games | | | Looking to buy a video game console. My wife has fond memories of playing Super Mario and Contra with her late mother and I want to enjoy those old games with her. I think I have seen something akin to having hundreds of Nintendo and Super Nintendo games all on one disk. How does that work? What console is that? I guess the logical answer is the Wii, but the guy in the store said he didn't know anything about it.
| | A. | Well, you can use the Virtual console on the Wii to download games. They have Contra and all (I think) of the old Mario games. N64 games are 1000 points ($10), SNES games cost 800 ($8), and NES is 500 ($5). They have some other non-Nintendo systems too, but I don't know how much the games cost.
After a few games, you might run low on the Wii's internal memory and need to store games on an SD card...
But if you want old school games on your console without using a hack or buying a bunch of systems or a collection, then you might try getting a Wii.
EDIT: I think what you're talking about is a mod/hack that you hook up to your Wii (don't really know how it works) and you download ROMs from your computer to play on your Wii. The homebrew channel, maybe?
| Q. | What are some of the exit barriers to the video game console industry? | Related Search: Economics | | | What are some of the potential barriers to exit in the video game console industry (or the Electronic Gaming Products Industry). Any sources to back up your answers would be appreciated.
| | A. | Independent video game companies such as EA Sports license the console platforms and pay royalties to the console makers such as Sony and Nintendo.
Part of the licensing deals may require the console maker to continue to produce the console and support it for a certain number of years. Failure to due this may result in penalties on the console maker. Therefore, this penalty serves as a barrier to exit.
| Q. | Which is the best video game console? And what is the best game for that console? | Related Search: Video & Online Games | | | Consoles are like game systems where you play video games. And i want to buy the best game and console. So i need answers.
| | A. | Every ones has it's ups and downs, I have a 360, and it works great, love it. Good graphics too. But some people don't like it since the RRoD, but I haven't got it on a few years. ;)
I also has Wii, and I liked it a while. But suddenly I stopped using it. Don't know why. I guess it's too "childish graphics" for me. But some people probably like it beacuse if that.
And on and on... | | | |
| Q. | Why do people feel the need to make others believe that their video game console is better than the rest? | Related Search: Video & Online Games | | | The video game console race has almost always been an all out war between corporations, but even more so by their customers. Day by day trolls spew their ignorance to others that own the other console. Call me crazy but it sometimes seems worse than the Windows vs Mac debates.
Most of us knew what we were doing when we bought our console, so what causes this need for superiority?
| | A. | Hopefully it will all die when they realese the OnLive: the console to end all consoles. | | | |
