Why is the story of Rostum and Sohrab Hassan's favourite/ why does he name his son after one of these characters?
A.The Kite Runner is a novel by the author Khaled Hosseini. The Kite Runner tells the story of Amir, a young boy from the Wazir Akbar Khan district of Kabul, who betrayed his best friend Hassan, the son of his father's Hazara servant, and lives in regret. The story is set against a backdrop of tumultuous events, from the fall of the monarchy in Afghanistan through the Soviet invasion, the mass exodus of refugees to Pakistan and the United States, and the rise of the Taliban regime. Q.If the story of the Kite runner continued what will Amir,Soraya and Sohrab would be doing?Related Search:

If you were writing a sequel, what would happen?
A.I wouldn't because the way the book ended, it gave just enough hope for a good ending. I don't know what could happen in a sequel except just to show Sohrab maybe getting better and growing up and facing the struggles of living in America and always trying to find healing for his past. I think Amir could be "redeemed" through taking care of Sohrab and raising him well and just caring for him. Though it made me SO sad that Amir never got to see Hasaan again and make peace with him. Did you just cry through the whole book, btw? I did.

Persian manuscript painting:Rustam lamented for Suhrab

Sohrāb or Suhrāb (Persian: سهراب) is a character from the Shahnameh, or the King of Tales by Ferdowsi in the tragedy of Rostam and Sohrab. He was the son of Rostam, who was an Iranian warrior, and Tahmineh, the daughter of the king of Samangam, a neighboring country. He was slayed at a young age by his father Rostam. Rostam only found out he was his son after fatally wounding him in a duel. Kaykavous, the king of Iran, delayed to give Rostam the healing potion (Noush Daru) to save Sohrab as he feared to lose his power to the alliance of the father and the son. Rostam gave Tahmine a bracelet as a reminder and a sign to his son and left Tahmine after the marriage.

His name means literally Red from water.
