where do i go to get tested? and what spreads stds? kissing? oral? and do condoms help?
A.You can check the website hivtest.org to find free STD testing sites in your area. Just enter your ZIP code. Testing is confidential. STDs are transmitted through unprotected sex. Yes, they can be transmitted through unprotected oral sex as well. Oral herpes can be transmitted through kissing. Herpes is transmitted through skin to skin contact. (genital to genital, genital to oral, oral to genital, and as I said, oral herpes can be transmitted through kissing.) Condoms can help prevent transmission of STDs, but it is still possible for someone to transmit herpes even while using condoms. You can not get an STD from someone who does not have an STD, but since most STDs have no symptoms for awhile, you can't tell if someone has an STD just by looking at them. The only way to find out if you have an STD is to get tested.

Is it possible to have an STD and not my ex Partners or current partner have one?? Is this likely or can it be that the hospital made a mistake? I was told that I had an STD, I told my current partner and he has came back clean and I told my previous two partners and they have both come back clean!! I don't understand this and really am upset that it is possible the hospital got it wrong and in turn caused my current relationship to end! Any advise would be great thanks I have already had the treatment so no point being re-tested, It was Chlamydia I know what it is, I know how it is caught and I know that I am not being lied to They have nothing to lose by telling the truth and nothing to gain by lying and if it is one of my exes then I must have had it for nearly two years!
A.There are lots of possible reasons that no one has come forward stating that they had it. Yes, it is possible they are not being honest. Did you actually get to see the test results from your previous partners? Chances are not everyone really did go in. It is easier to just say that they do not have it, than to have to accept that they might. So many people assume that being free of symptoms means you are free of the condition. It is also possible that whomever gave it to you, has since had it cleared. Since it is fairly easily treated, they may have been treated for something else, and the chlamydia was treated as well. They may have never even known that they had it. Has your current boyfriend been treated for anything that required strong antibiotics? If you have been together for a while, it would be unusual for him to not have contracted it. To be safe, you should both be retested to make sure the cycle does not start again.

okay, my friend had sex with a girl, and he said that there was this odor, when they did it, comin from her, and i said it was most likely an std, but he wanted to know what kind, any help would be great okay, im married thankyou very much, and he said she showers twice a day!!
A.Some STD's can make a person smell different. He should get checked either way, but, especially, if he notices that smell coming from him.

Q.Are all STDs alike in the way that you have to come into contact with alot of the bacteria?Related Search:
STDs
I've read in different places that you have to come into contact with a sufficient amount (more than a mosquito could carry) size of HIV bacteria to actually catch the disease. Are all STDs that way? I do not actually have HIV so please do not advice me on any remedies to take. Thank-you though.
A.the probability of this happening astronomical and fairly unlikely due to the fact enzymess from mosquito's stomache start to break down the blood immediatelyy killing the virus

Q.Is it possible to contract STDs even if you and your partner are both virgins?Related Search:
STDs
I'm 15, and my boyfriend and I are interested in getting sexually active. We've agreed on condoms for protection, and we're both virgins. Just out of pure curiosity, is it possible to contract any STDs when not wearing condoms even if you were both virgins and tested negative for STDs? Answering this question will NOT affect my decision in using condoms as protection during sex.
A.Well it seems extremely unlikely, the only way obviously is if one of you was infected with something somehow. If you're both virgins, you've both been tested, and you're using new never used condoms (I would hope that's common sense, but just in case...) then you've nothing to worry about.

Q.What are some others ways of getting Pelvic Inflammatory Disease other than STDs?Related Search:
Infectious Diseases
This is rather hard to talk about, but I just recently got diagnosed with P.I.D. The doctor told me its most commonly caused by STDs, but the problem is, I already was tested for STDs not long back, and all was well, so now i'm curious what else could have caused it? Also, if there are any women here who have had it, what is the likely hood of becoming infertile?
A.PID can develop from bacterial vaginosis. That is a drop in the vagina's organisms that are suppost to be there and an increase in the bad ones that are also there. When this happens the organisms spread and cause PID. Since I got PID before I was ever sexually active that is what the doctors told me. The doctors told me after that happened that I would have a very hard, if at all, time getting pregant but I now have two children so I guess they were wrong. Hope this helps
