| Q. | What's a good statistical test to measure the reliability and validity of a survey? | Related Search: Standards & Testing | | | What's a good statistical test to measure the reliability and validity of a survey given to participants three months before & after a training workshop? The workshop will be on transformational leadership, and will be attended by employers, managers and department heads. The survey will be distributed to them, and the people they supervise, three months before the workshop, and three months after the workshop. A t-test was recommended, but I need more detail.
Thank you!
| | A. | depending on the number of your respondents. if you have more than 30 you have to use the z-test if not then use t-test | | | |
| Q. | How is the reliability of Thermador column refrigerators (Freedom collection) ? | Related Search: Maintenance & Repairs | | | I am thinking about buying a Thermador freedom collection 30" refrigerator + 18" freezer. Since the history of this product is not very long, I couldn't find much data about the reliability of it. Could someone who own one of this refrigerator please tell me whether there is any maintainance issue with it? I really like the look of it, but just don't want to buy something that'll break down often or soon. Thanks a bunch!
| | A. | I never heard of this. I would stay with a brand name@ | | | |
| Q. | what is the Reliability of using nuclear energy? | Related Search: Other - Science | | | what is the Reliability of using nuclear energy?
how reliable is it?
| | A. | Nuclear power is neither reliable nor unreliable. It is the operators that make it safe and reliable. I spent eleven years in the navy as a nuclear trained electrician. I became an engineering watch supervisor. As such I was qualified to operate the reactor and control powerplant use. The reactors used in the United States for civilian power are usually uniquely designed. This makes it hard to use equipment from one plant in another. The Navy uses a few designs for all their needs. This allows for ease of teaching personnel to do maintenance and operations.
At the Idaho National Labs and other places we are now designing plants that are modular in design. We are now getting into themindset to have a few preapproved sets the Nuclear Regulatory Committee will let us use. This increases reliability and lowers maintenance training needs. In France cities vie for the oppertunity to have a plant built near them. A plant needs a large heat sink to get rid of excess heat during power operations. Companies build large parks and lakes that can be diverted in time of need. This makes great recreational facilities. In the US we try to keep a minimum of ten miles to the public. This is a "safety Buffer". Chernobyl was caused by shutting off the cooling flow to the reactor immediately after shutting it down to see how much power could be produced from decay heat. The graphite burned and the rest is history. We do not allow this kind of idiocy in America.

| Q. | Reliability? | Related Search: Mazda | | | How can I make a 13B engine (RX-7) more reliable and less proned to overheat and detonate. I heard ceramic rotors could work out and 3mm apex seals. Help please. Price is not a problem
And precision on what causes the engine to blow up would be nice.
And precision on what causes the engine to blow up would be nice.
| | A. | Rotaries are not "prone" to overheating. It is a common misconception that rotaries are notorious for overheating. They in fact are not. The problem is, that the rotor housings are aluminum, and the side plates are iron. So if it were to overheat the differences in metals at high temperatures causes the engine itself to "warp" as the aluminum changes in shape and size in relation to the iron.
I own a N/A 13B with 211,000 miles. Relaibility is not a problem whatsoever, I have found that with proper maintence, the same maintanence that ANY car requires will allow a rotary to last for a long time. Even ported and turbo rotaries can be very reliable, provided you dont dog them all the time. But that will lead to failure in any turbo engine over time.
There is no such thing as ceramic rotors, there are however ceramic apex seals. Which are in fact known to be detrimental to an engines life span, as they cause more wear in the rotor housings. Factory Mazda Apex seals are the best hands down. Anyone who tells you otherwise doesnt know a thing about building rotaries.
Just treat it right, and dont run it hard, "all" the time and it will last. If you feel the need upgrade the cooling system, thats your best bet when it comes to fighting overheating. Change the oil and filter every 2-3,000 miles, and dont put cheap stuff in it.
| Q. | What kind of motorcycle do you own and how would you rate its reliability? | Related Search: Motorcycles | | | Not interested in dirt bikes or Harley's. More interested in other cruiser/street bikes over 750cc. What kind have you owned and what is their reliability? Any thoughts, opinions and recommendations are welcome. Please take your time with an answer, I will read all thoroughly.
| | A. | '97 Honda Valkyrie 162,000 trouble free miles.
Missus rides a '99 Honda Magna, daily.
Between the two of us, we've owned a handful of Hondas, over the years. They've been bullet proof and the final word in reliablity.
We ride these bikes on the back roads without carrying cell phones or worrying about mechanical problems.
