Q.	Where to stay in Phuket and other destinations?	Related Search: Thailand
	After 4 nights in Bangkok and 6 days in Perth I'm flying to Phuket. I'll have about 10 days then to chill. I would like to stay in Krabi, Railey and visit Phi Phi etc. Does anyone have any advice where to stay. Should I book all rooms before I go or just turn up? Will be early january when I arrive.
A.	If you have not already booked your flight to Phuket then go straight to Ao Nang, Krabi and base yourself there. airasia.com fly to Krabi and Ao Nang is only 35 mins from airport. It is cheaper, scenerey is more stunning , easy access to other Islands such as Phi Phi. Phuket is now getting over priced, over crowded and over rated. Check out agoda.com for cheap hotels and tripadvisor for what to see and do. I think its always best to book your rooms in advance as you might end up where you do not want to be - agoda do good rates

	I am going to Kenya in November on a safari to the Masai Mara, then after that going to Mombasa for a few days by the beach to relax. Just wondering, as it's an expensive holiday, how it would compare to going to countries such as Bahama's, Jamacia, Mexico, Maldives, Seychells etc? Or are those countries a higher class of a holiday destination? Should Kenya as a holiday destination be compared with the likes of Italy, Egypt? I hope I enjoy myself as I love nature and wildlife itself.
A.	we have been to kenya many times, its our favourite holiday destination,you did not state the safari company or the hotel in mombasa, as there are many , also you have two coasts in mombasa to choose from,north or south, we prefer north mombasa coast, as for costings, the safaris average approx £100--£150 per night for the masai mara, a road safari to starve east, west and amberseli are cheaper,when you stay at your hotel go all inclusive, better value

	I want to spend about two days in California for my roadtrip in November.
A.	you could stop in Sacramento and go to Old Town and the Capitol. Stop in Auburn or Placerville (depending on which way you go. Truckee is a cool town. Drive around Lake Tahoe. Go up to Virginia City just before Reno. Carson City has a cool railroad Museum and State Museum. There is certainly more than enough to keep you busy for 2 days!

	Love travelling to Thailand, i've been there 4 times (relatively cheap to get to as I live in Australia), also travelled to Vietnam, and Bali (although wasn't so keen on the last one). Think India may be on the list, where else has similar cheap accom and day to day living expenses? Any travel tips or stories would be appreciated, Cheers!
A.	If your really looking for budget destinations you might want to consider joining a discount travel club. I use Primo Vacations and I get to travel all over the world and with my pass I can stay at Condos worldwide for prices like $100 for an entire weeks stay. We have discounts on Airfare and cars too. Why stay in a hotel when you can get a Condo for less then rent?

	how come closer destinations have flights to each other? how come Boston has Flights to NEw York City when they are 3.5 hours apart? and why does like Charlotte have flights to Spartanburg and Greensboro when they are 100 miles or less from Charlotte???? and why does Pittsburgh have flights to DC when they are driveable. Why does Baltimore have flights to Philadelphia when they are 100 miles apart? and also I am from NH And when I go to NC or SC states I always drive but why would most from my state fly?
A.	It is possible.Many don't want to drive or just wanna loose traffic and reach a lot faster.

	I have already decided to go to Phuket and am still concidering Bali and Ko Samui?? I am 30 years old and am looking for a very luxuirious couple of weeks.....
A.	Hi Ex - I would vote for this option - Since you already have Phuket on your agenda, I would stay in that area... take a couple of days in Krabi, Phi Phi Islands, and maybe a couple of days just north of Phuket as well - - The trip to Bali will cost you not only $$ but a full tiring day of travel.. I say that there is enuf that is different in the Phuket area to keep you busy or totally relaxed as your mood dictates. I would not even go to Samui... if it is your first time in Thailand, you will have a great time with Thai people - learn a few words of language [ I'll even email you a beginners guide to the language that I made for friends... ok? - just some more thoughts - not sure where you are coming from, but just the trip to Phuket might tire you out too.. My vote is making it all about relaxing and one place that will always be a special memory... but up to you - I assume I am not invited?
