A.No, you wear a theatre gown. And yes generally speaking surgery on the abdomen will require general anaesthesia. You'll be given an injection and you'll basically fall asleep and wake up when it's all over. Nothing to worry about.

What is the operation to stop her ever being pregnant? She need not know what the operation is about, she can be told that she is ill or something. She'll consent all right, or can go back where she came from, and I will bring myself another.

Q.When to go to gym after a gallbladder operation? How many months after the operation?Related Search:
Diet & Fitness
When to go to gym after a gallbladder operation? How many months after the operation? Is it really 6 months or a year? It's been 4 months since my gallbladder operation like October 2007, and I'm already gaining weight while nursing myself. On the other hand, I'm already planning to go jogging and somehow get into the gym to keep myself physically fit and to trim down my body shape before I become too fat. I really need your advice guys, professional and friendly advice are welcome.tnx
A.Simply call the surgeon who did the procedure. He will know how much muscle he cut when he did the surgery, but after 4 months I would expect you to be fully healed up anyway. Just take it slow and easy--start out walking for example to build up stamina and work your major muscle groups.

Q.I had an abdominal operation in December. How soon should I start trying for a baby?Related Search:
Trying to Conceive
How soon after the operation should I start trying for a baby? We were planning to do it in January but then I had an unexpected operation. My Dr said I should wait for 3 months. Has anybody been in a similar situation?
A.I would listen to your doctor. If you had an abdominal operation you should wait for that to heal before you put your body through the stress of carrying a baby. Your muscles etc will stretch with the growth of baby, and if not healed, could cause problems to yourself and your baby! I would wait the three months!!

Q.How is the operation for cojoined twin seperation performed?Related Search:
Medicine
I writing a thesis paper, and i need to know how conjoined twin seperation is performed. And what goes into the operation. Sites with this information is also extremely appreciated. I know the jist of it, but I need the exact steps. I'm a medical major, and my professor is extremely tight with our information. Oh, and I've tried google. Sorry I know I'm reaching for the stars with this. But hey, I'm desperate.
A.Every operation to separate conjoined twins is different. It all depends on what they share. Some twins are joined at the head and share parts of the brain. That would be a completely different operation than twins who are joined at the abdomen and share a liver. The first twins would need a neurosurgeon; the second twins would need a surgeon trained in abdominal surgery. There is an incredible amount of preparation and imaging that has to be done pre-operatively, and plans are worked out individually for each case. There are often several surgeons involved. I know that doesn't help much, but there is no one answer to the question you asked.
