Jay Mehta is an Indian businessman and the husband of Indian actress Juhi Chawla. Mehta and Chawla, along with Shah Rukh Khan, are co-owners of the Indian Premier League team Kolkata Knight Riders. Mehta was earlier married to Yash Birla's sister who died in a plane crash in 1991. Jay Mehta is the son of Mahendra Mehta and Hemlata Mehta who own the Mehta group which is spread over Africa, India, Canada and USA.
Jay Mehta in India - Owns two companies Sauarashtra Cement Ltd (Ranavav near Porbander, Gujarat) and Gujarat Sidhee Cement Ltd (Veraval Gujarat India)
Sauarashtra Cement Ltd is the only company in India that produces RCC cement. Almost more than 70 per cent of total produce of cement is getting exported to the various countries.
Jay Mehta has two children with wife Juhi Chawla, a girl and a boy.
