Q.How can i get mpg files from the internet and all other media type files to play in Windows Media Player?Related Search:

I want them to run/sent to Windows media player like wmv files are...
A.You just need the proper codec (COmpression/DECompression routine) installed. There are numerous "codec packs" available from sites like [Link] /. My personal favorite is FFDShow which isn't actually a codec pack, but will show almost everything except MPG (which you need). I'd recommend installing a codec pack first, then if you want improved quality for DivX, XviD, etc... you could install FFDShow on top of the pack.

A.Cable , as in cable TV type would accept RG58 and RG59 but for really good stuff I like RG6 / shielded cable. If an ethernet network use CAT5 cabling, shielded if EMF (lots of electrical devices in the immediate area)

Q.What is your preferred type of media for news and current events? (Radio, television, Internet)?Related Search:
Media & Journalism
For the type of media you selected, which specific outlets do you prefer (names of stations, networks, periodicals, Web Sites, etc.)? c) Why do you choose to go to those specific sources for news and current events? d) What are the qualities and characteristics you expect from a trustworthy news source? e) Do you think news providers are more credible than, less credible than, or the same as they were 5, 10, or 20 years ago? Why?
A.I prefer to get my news online, specifically from [Link]  I go to this website because it is easy to use and understand, I am able to get news from all around the world and the biggest/ most important stories are the first things you see. I like getting recommendations for a trustworthy news source. If someone recommends it then I am likely to check it out and then will determine my own opinion. I expect news sources to be up to date and have news that is important to me. Which I find all that at The Daily Source. Its hard to say if news sources are more credible these days then in the years past. On one side, we have more access to information and are able to get more quicker but at the same time, these days some news stations and sites generally make their personal opinions clear.

Q.How can I send any type of media to my phone without WAP internet or cables?Related Search:
Cell Phones & Plans
On my phone, I have internet but it costs big bucks. Also, I am USB Cableless. Is there a way I can send ringtones, images etc to my phone without these things? If you have a website or something, since it is against Yahoo!'s policy to put it here, email it to [Link]  and please post an answer stating that you did so. Also, no rude or smart-ass answers. If you don't have any real help to offer, don't answer ^_^
A.Well, is the phone and computer bluetooth or Infra-Red capable? If so, then you're in business. You'll have to pair the 2 together with bluetooth, and then use the file transfer service to get everything on the phone. Infra-Red is point and receive like your TV remote.

An Internet media type[1], originally called a MIME type after MIME (Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions) and sometimes a Content-type after the name of a header in several protocols whose value is such a type, is a two-part identifier for file formats on the Internet. The identifiers were originally defined in RFC 2046 for use in e-mail sent through SMTP, but their use has expanded to other protocols such as HTTP, RTP and SIP.

A media type is composed of at least two parts: a type, a subtype, and one or more optional parameters. For example, subtypes of text type have an optional charset parameter that can be included to indicate the character encoding, and subtypes of multipart type often define a boundary between parts.

Types or subtypes that begin with x- are nonstandard[2] (they are not registered with IANA). Subtypes that begin with vnd. are vendor-specific; subtypes in the personal or vanity tree begin with prs..[3]

MIME is short for Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions, a specification for formatting non-ASCII messages so that they can be sent over the Internet. Many e-mail clients now support MIME, which enables them to send and receive graphics, audio, and video files via the Internet mail system. In addition, MIME supports messages in character sets other than ASCII.

There are many predefined MIME types, such as GIF graphics files and PostScript files. It is also possible to define your own MIME types.

In addition to e-mail applications, Web browsers also support various MIME types. This enables the browser to display or output files that are not in HTML format.

MIME was defined in 1992 by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). A new version, called S/MIME, supports encrypted messages.
