Q.What part of this is the city in Serbia?Related Search:
Other - Europe
I was chating with a guy and i asked him where he was from and he typed this---Staro Selo, Velika Plana, Smederevo, Serbia Now i know where serbia is but what part of the above is the town/city etc? Someone help! Thanx
A.All of the places you mention are in Central Serbia, but none is the city. Really small places; Velika Plana (population 16 000) is what we call a cross between a town and a village, Smederevo (pop. 77 000) is no district and certainly has no resemblance to a capital, it's just a town on the Danube close to Belgrade, although it's an administrative center of that region. And Staro Selo is what it says - a village. [Link]  [Link]  [Link]

go back live in Europe?I ask this seriously. In THE HISTORY OF THE EUROPEANS there were slaves and I feel BEING A slave aka A SERF in BRITIAN was very wrong AND I UNDERSTAND WHY YOU ESCAPED to steal occupied AMERICA. But, I see acts of U being overly proud of YOUR heritage. MANY OF U take on your MOTHERLAND CUSTOMS;like your U.K, RUSSIAN, GERMAN, POLISH, IRISH customs such as wearing GREEN on ST PATTY DAY, celebrating POLISH PENSKI day, tulip festivals, GERMAN BEER, Sauerkraut celebration. and other rituals of your ancestry WHILE HERE in this UN-United' States. Just wondering why don't FOREIGNERS FROM EUROPE want to move back to EUROPE? Since they STILL call it the "motherland!?" Do you feel that GERMANY, FRANCE, ITALY, IRELAND, RUSSIA, AUSTRALIA, TURKEY, UKRAINE, POLAND, TURKEY, SPAIN, ROMANIA,TURKEY, UKRAINE, UNITED KINGDOM, VATICAN CITY, SERBIA, is where your heart is? SHOULDN'T U GO BACK? My reason for asking is someone wrote this question to BLKS. How would U answer? Most of your responses are GREAT. I think people sometimes don't think when WHITES ask BLACKS questions and when BLACKS ask WHITES questions. AT the end of the day we are all people made by the same GOD. (in my humble opinion) MANY WHITES, when BLACKS complain about INJUSTICES and UNFAIRNESS we experience, WHITES will say go back to AFRICA. JUST LIKE many EUROPEAN- AMERICANS have never been to Europe, many AFRICAN AMERICANS have never been. I,PERSONALLY HAVE BEEN and feel I would have no trouble adjusting if I wanted to move there, BUT most A-A have no desire to be anything but A-A and would never consider leaving. So when, "GO BACK TO AFRICA" is said it is meant to be insulting, but is more ignorant because we all, except NATIVE INDIANS can say go back to... ANYWAY, I'm sorry I don't have the link to the ORIGINAL QUESTION, which inspired me to post this one. He wanted to know if we were glad slavery happened. The reason I didn't respond to him was because it was resolved. ADNILCOMPLICATED SAID,"black people were brought here as slaves..dragged, whipped, pulled away from their families...the white folk you are asking this question of ...came here on their own free will.." TRUE...whites came on their on free will but still THE BRITISH were the first to come here and they were slaves or a nicer name, SERFS, looking for a better place. EVERYONE who came to AMERICA came because they thought it was better than where they were born AND THEY COULD HAVE A BETTER LIFE.. The FACT that they came on their own is a good reason they could, if they wanted to, go back because they know where to go back to. There are 53 COUNTRIES in AFRICA, BLACKS WORLD-WIDE DON'T KNOW from what COUNTRY they were born, THAT IS except pure AFRICANS. SO, IT IS NOT AS EASY for A-A TO RETURN AS IT IS for Whites. Even some AFRICANS BORN IN OTHER COUNTRIES can go back because they have their language and customs & cultural. I am AFRICAN,INDIAN, IRISH-AMERICAN are you native american?
A.First of all, let me state, that the question should not have been asked of Blacks, Whites, or anyone else! THIS IS NOT A BLACK WHITE ISSUE! Secondly, When the Europeans came to the North American Continent, there was plenty of room for the new colonies and for the Native Americans. Native Americans had actually migrated to this continent from Asia. If you want to go back further than this you will have to do your own research. My point is, we need to concentrate on the present. We need to learn to deal with each other in a compassionate, honest and equatable way. All Americans are proud of where they came from, just as you are. There is no need to completely "give up" a close feeling, some customs, and foods from the land of ones birth, to be a good American. It is when the new arrival still holds MORE allegiance for the "motherland" than they do for their "new homeland" that causes an uneasy feeling among current Americans. (NO MATTER OF COLOR). I am a white American of mixed heritage including Native American, so, if I wanted to move to my original homeland, I wouldn't know quite where to go! I have no inclination however, to GO anywhere. I LOVE AMERICA! It is diverse and rich in culture because of all those who have immigrated here. It isn't always easy, but if all of us try to BE understanding, even if we DO NOT understand, I have faith we will all be the better for it.

Q.What is the difference in the people, looks, culture of Bosnia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia and Belarus?Related Search:
Other - Europe
I have traveled alot through Europe but the countries i listed , I have never been to and am curious what the people look like (darker or lighter features?)....War torn?....Islamic or Christian? Any intersting major cities for tourists?
A.People in Bosnia,Slovenia & Serbia probably look the most alike. All the people in the countries you listen come from the Slavic group. Here's a map of % people with blonde hair( Serbia being the lowest). You'll only find cultural differences in those countries people will probably look the same. BTW in Bosnia you can't tell whose muslim and whose christian by looking at them.....

Q.Looking for the mailing address/e-mail address to the city hall in Novo Miloševo, Serbia.?Related Search:
Other - Politics & Government
I'm looking for the mailing address mainly, but even an e-mail address would suffice right now. I'm in search of birth records, and I'm unsure as to where to look for this address as I do not speak Serbian. Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
A.I was not able to find the city's website, I even used the national phonebook but have not found any contact information. You may check the directory found here: [Link]  If the ministers you wish to contact do not speak English and you need a translation, please don't hesitate to email me at [Link]  I suggest you contact the Minister of Foreign Affairs first and you may ask him to direct you to the city hall of Novo Milosevo. You're very welcome :)

This is the list of cities and towns in Serbia, according to the criteria used by Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, which classifies the settlements into urban and rural, depending not only on size, but also on other administrative and legal criteria.[1]

Formally, there are administrative Cities. Belgrade is the only major city, and on the level of a district, while the others are minor, on a municipal level. They enjoy a special status of autonomy and self-government, as they have their own Civic Parliaments and executive branches, as well as Mayors elected through popular vote, elected by their citizens in local elections.[2]

[edit] Administrative cities

As of 2008, the following cities have official administrative city rights:[2]

[edit] "Urban" settlements

The 2002 census in Serbia was held only on the territories of Central Serbia and Vojvodina. According to the statistic criteria, the following settlements are classified as "urban" (i.e. cities and towns), as opposed to "rural" (villages). These criteria are not limited to settlement size, but also include the percentage of residents engaged in agriculture, population density etc. Thus, not all towns in statistical sense are greater than villages, and they are not always municipality centers.
