will we see a decline in the availibility of illicit drugs once the border is under control??
A.No! As scarce as the truth is, the demand is always larger than the supply. Where there's a will, there's a way... The cargo will always get through, somehow.

Q.What would border control do if I say I went to Serbia to see my girlfriend?Related Search:

What would happen if I answered border control's questions about my trip to Serbia (upon entering the USA, my homeland) by telling them that I was visiting my girlfriend, fiancee, or wife? Would the US border control impede my relationship with her in any way? I'll be seeing my girlfriend (who is a serb) for the 3rd time this Winter, and we are thinking seriously about marriage. I am curious whether it would be good to tell US border control, that way I have a record that I've known her for so long, etc.
A.First of all, there is no such thing as border control. There is the Dept. of Homeland Security. Under it exist Customs and Border Protection. Which divides into CBP Officers, the guys in blue that check your passports at the airport. Or Border Patrol Agents. Border Patrol agents are the ones with green uniforms who stop people from coming into the country from the land borders and coastal areas near land. If you go to Serbia, just tell the CBP officers the reason and the truth. If they find out you are lying, you will be in deep s**t. If you are a U.S. citizen you should have no problems. If you are a resident, sometimes there are certain restrictions. Just dont lie and you will be ok. Also, DHS doesnt care about your relationships. They just care that you are not a terrorist or criminal.

We the US of A keep soldiers in Korea for the border control there and let us not forget the DMZ in Vietnam. We Placed borders in these countries and the people in each of these countries look the same. Someone please tell me why we can not control our own borders?
A.Boy this is true, we go protect other countries who are invaded, but do nothing about this invasion on our own soil. as a veteran it sickens me. And 20 million people who are breaking laws coming from other countries is certainly a invasion. Our troops should be called in to clean this mess up first before being deployed any where else.

Does anyone really think this FENCE idea is going to work?...Or will it just be a huge waste of tax money?...Unless they are planning to build something akin to the Great Wall Of China, they may as well give up on this idea. Guards?...Patrols?...There is no way to post a person every 6 feet along the border, and that's pretty much what it would take to be effective. To be fair, while I can see how these things would appear to be ineffective...I honestly don't have any ideas that WOULD work, and this is why Bush would just say "Round 'em up and send 'em back when we catch them", which of course isn't working either, but what else is there? Do any of you have any ideas? So, a fence, patrols, AND stricter legislation? The "round 'em up and send 'em back" comment is based on our current deportation policy. Legislation doesn't work if it isn't enforced and there will always be those who ignore the law...It is already illegal to hire an illegal alien, yet it's still happening, despite the threat of penalties. Fences - Any city kid knows how to get around (over or through) a fence...Any country kid knows how to disable an electric fence...It's not that difficult. Still...I see no other viable alternatives. @Vote_USA: Ending welfare for EVERYONE?...Very interesting concept...It would certainly decrease the 'draw'...Hmm...I had never heard or considered that before @UncleDJM: That sounds pretty decent...I'd probably expand that to 4 fences, two on each side of the road with foot patrols between each set of two fences...Patrols would have to be heavy and constant, would be expensive but worth it...and still far LESS expensive than supporting over 20 million illegal aliens with our tax dollars. We should write up a plan and submit it to congress :p
A.What is a fence going to do about the underground tunnels? The have tunnels that are miles long starting in Mexico and ending here. For every one that gets caught crossing the border, there are many more that cross underground.

Border control
Border crossing between Germany and the Netherlands
"Border crossing" redirects here. For other uses, see Border Crossing.

Border controls are measures used by a country to monitor or regulate its borders.

The control of the flow of many people, animals and goods across a border may be controlled by government Customs services. Security is enforced by various kinds of Border Guards and Coast Guards. Official designations, jurisdictions and subordinations of these agencies vary.

Border controls exist to:

The degree of strictness of border controls depends on the country and the border concerned. In some countries, control may be targeted at the traveller's national origin or other countries that have been visited. Others may need to be certain the traveller has paid the appropriate fees for their visas and has future travel planned out of the country. Yet others may concentrate on the contents of the travellers baggage, and imported goods to ensure nothing is being carried that might bring a biosecurity risk into the country. In the member states of the Schengen agreement, internal border control is often virtually unnoticeable, and often only performed by means of random car or train searches in the hinterland, while controls at borders with non-agreement states may be rather strict.
