Here's a summary: "My heart sank as tears threatened behind my eyes, there was no more chance for me, my entire world came crashing down, and the demons finally had won. I was in hell, flames burning brightly and engulfing my body as I experienced the deepest, darkest agony I'd ever felt. My knees buckled beneath me as I fell upon them in front of the tree that had once stood for love and happiness; the words carved in it's bark, tantalizing me, feeding the flames that centered around my chest and ran through my veins. The rain continued to fall as I dropped my head into my hands and let out an agonized sob; the demons howled, dancing, as they'd finally reached their goals and achieved they're victory. This was the first day that my downward spiral to death began, because I could no longer endure this pain; I could no longer bring myself to hope, uselessly. I'd realized that she was my sun, my oxygen, my water and nourishment, the only thing that kept my heart beating, and now I'd be deprieved of all I'd ever needed to survive until I'd ceased to live. I'd comply to my unavoidable death, but I wouldn't surrender the demons, because no matter how much they hurt me, they never let me forget the happiness of when she did love me. (btw. AH - all human, AU - alternative universe, lemons are basically sex scenes, OOC - out of character ++ if you like fanfics with that in, you should read Wide Awake, it is AWESOME)

Books & Authors | | | When reading or writing fan fiction, do you like the chapters to be longer or shorter than the average novel chapter, and do you like it to be based as closely as possible to feasible, real events that occur in the book/game/movie etc, or do you like it to be very AU (alternative universe)? Please answer, thanks in advance! :]

I've also noticed that the stories that stick to the events in the book etc. tend to be better written, but I don't mind reading a completely AU story, as long as its written well. | | | |
